My favorite part of being a composer is working with other people and writing new things, and commissions are the perfect intersection of the two.
Whether you’re looking for a customized sea shanty, a soundtrack for a character or story, or just some very weird music, I’d love to talk with you!
Commission rates
This is just the music that’s straightforward to price — please reach out if you have a unique project in mind, and we can negotiate the price!
Sea shanties
Full shanty: $75 (sheet music only) or $100 (with recording)
Chorus only: $40 (sheet music only) or $60 (with recording)
Sea shanty commissions are currently a cappella/vocal arrangements only, but I’m happy to provide a lead sheet.
Songs
Demo and lead sheet only: $100
Sheet music (piano) only: $100
Demo and sheet music (piano): $125
Rates for additional/alternate instrumentation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Solo/small ensemble
Base rate: $50 per minute of music.
Additional staves after first: $12 per staff per minute.
Up to eight staves.
